About Ardacious
A family office built on the premise that time is the scarcest resource in investing.
Where we started.
Ardacious was established in 2019 when the Ardmore family decided to bring their investment activities under one roof and one philosophy. The name reflects an old family word for something that is both bold and enduring -- an investment you believe in enough to hold through whatever comes.
In the years since, we've committed capital to eighteen managers across three continents, maintained positions through significant market disruptions, and built a co-investment practice around businesses we believe in for the long term.
What we haven't done is chase. We passed on the SPAC wave. We passed on several highly-anticipated funds that turned out not to earn their fees. Some of our best decisions have been the ones we didn't make.
"Our mission is to compound the family's wealth across generations while contributing, through the Foundation, to the communities where that wealth finds its meaning."
What Guides Us
Four principles. No exceptions.
Patience
We measure outcomes in years and decades. The businesses and managers we partner with understand this. It shapes every decision we make.
Selectivity
We do not pursue breadth. Our manager portfolio is deliberately small, and we add to it rarely. Depth of knowledge about fewer situations beats shallow knowledge about many.
Integrity
We expect complete transparency from the managers we back, and we hold ourselves to the same standard. There is no version of Ardacious that succeeds through opacity.
Stewardship
This capital belongs to a family and will pass to the next generation. That responsibility clarifies priorities in a way that quarterly benchmarks never could.
Our Team
Small on purpose.
